With over 22 years of experience in alternative, reality and music television, Claire McCabe has been part of the growing genre of reality television from the beginning years, having started at MTV as an intern in 1993 and most recently at CMT as VP, of Original Programming and Development.
Well known for thinking out of the box and pushing the envelope, her long standing relationships in the television community span from talent to executive producers, dps to directors, casting to pa's , she is a down to earth executive who knows the ins and outs of executing a series, on a dime or on a million, with enough lead time to get it ontomorrow, McCabe makes it happen.
Ms. McCabe is currently working back with her early family, Disney Channel along with Radio Disneyoverseeing the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards main and show and Red Carpet Festival.
Upon completing the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards, Claire has stayed on the with Disney Channel and Disney XD overseeing alternative and digital programming for the networks with a variety of series and specials in development and a few having all ready hit the air within her first 2 months on the job.
Her career includes 15 plus years at Viacom at three of their music networks, MTV, VH1 and CMT. CMT executive producer credits include: Swamp Pawn, Chainsaw Gang, Sweet Home Alabama (3 seasons) (highest rated original series at its premiere), The Singing Bee (4 seasons) (highest rated original premiere), along with pilots and presentations.
VH1 executive producer credits include: Scott Baio is 45 and Single, Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant, Breaking Bonaduce (2 seasons), celebrity music series But Can They Sing, along with numerous pilots and presentations.
Prior to VH1, McCabe was executive producer and director of artist and label relations at Music Choice, where she executive produced concert specials with such artists as The Cranberries, Coldplay, Smashmouth and kd lang, among others.
